How to set up VetCheck on the Android
Using VetCheck on Android is simple! You’ll need to install the Chrome browser app and adjust a few settings to ensure optimal performance. We also suggest that you remove the default browser icon from your homescreen to avoid accidentally using it, and make Chrome your default browser.
1. Allow pop-ups
Within Chrome settings:
- Open the Chrome app on your Android device.
- Tap the three vertical dots (Menu) in the top right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll to Site settings.
- Tap Pop-ups and redirects.
- Toggle the switch to Allow pop-ups.
2. Enable Cross-Site Tracking
Within Chrome settings:
- Go to the Chrome app.
- Tap the three vertical dots (Menu) and select Settings.
- Select Privacy and Security.
- Ensure Do Not Track is turned off to allow cross-site tracking.
3. Set Chrome as your Default Browser
On your Android device:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll down and select Apps or Applications (this may vary depending on your device).
- Tap the Default apps option.
- Choose Browser app.
- Select Chrome to set it as your default browser.
4. Remove the Default Browser Icon from Homescreen
Optional but recommended:
- Go to your Android homescreen.
- Long-press the default browser icon (usually Samsung Internet or other Android browsers).
- Tap Remove from Home or Uninstall to prevent accidental usage.
